DDC Ganderbal visits Sonamarg, takes stock of snow clearance arrangements

GANDERBAL, NOVEMBER 20:- To monitor the progress of snow clearance from the roads and to mitigate the problems being faced by the people due to recent snowfall, the District Development Commissioner Ganderbal, Dr. Piyush Singla took an extensive tour of Sonamarg area.

DDC inspected roads for snow clearance and directed engineers of the BEACON to keep their men and machinery active to deal with any untoward situation. DDC also directed the concerned authorities to provide ration to the locals.

 During the visit, the District Development Commissioner instructed the officers of health institutions to ensure regularity and punctuality in the health care institutions and directed for stern action against the absentees.

Later, DDC while interacting with the locals assured them that their genuine demands will be readdressed at an earliest and District Administration will ensure every possible support for locals residing in the adjacent areas of Sonamarg.
