New Delhi, Nov 23: Drawing the attention of President Ram Nath Kovind over the 'inordinate delay' in summoning of the winter session of Parliament, the Congress has urged him to direct the Government to summon the Parliament at the earliest.
In a letter to the President on Tuesday, Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad, Leader of the Congress in the Lok Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge, Deputy leader of teh COngress in the RS Anand Sharma and AICC spokesperson Deepender Hooda said,'we seek to draw your attention over the inordinate delay by the Government in convening the winter session of Parliament without ascribing any justification for doing so.' 'We urge upon you to direct the government to summon the Parliament at the earliest as the power of summoning the and proroguing the houses of Parliament are constitutionally vested in the President,' the Congress said in its letter. UNI
