New Delhi, Nov 23: Even as the film faces protests in India, forcing postponement of its release
here, the British Board for Film Certification has cleared Padmavati for
release in the United Kingdom.
The Deepika Padukone Shahid Kapoor starrer has been cleared
for a scheduled release in the UK on December 1.The BBFC has certified the film under the category '12 A'. It
has been passed without any cuts, the BBFC certificate said. Padmavati, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, has been facing
protests from several sections in India, which has forced it's producers to
defer it's release from its scheduled date of December 1.
