SRINAGAR, NOVEMBER 23: Minister for
Agriculture, Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura today laid foundation stone of
various road upgradation projects in Chrar-e-Sharief Constituency.
The Agriculture Minister laid the foundation
stone of upgradation of Chadoora Brenwar road up to Haijan. The upgradation
project would be completed at an estimated cost of Rs 15 crore. The project
would be completed within three years and would be constructed by
R&B Department.
Hanjura also laid the foundation stone of
upgradation/strengthening of Brenwar Nego Jabard road with allied road links.
The road upgradation project would be constructed at an estimated cost of
around Rs 3.5 crore.
The Minister also laid the foundation stone of
construction of bridge over Nallah Doorhganga at Kherigund Chadoora. The bridge
would be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 2.42 crores and is expected to
be completed within three years.
Later, Hanjura also addressed a public meeting
at Nego, Chrar-i-sharief where he said that all the remaining main and link
roads would be macadamized in Chrar-i-Sharief constituency soon.
He said that most of the roads in the
constituency have been macadamized in the last two years. He said that vital
inter-road connecting project from Yusmarg, Doodpathri and Gulmarg is in
pipeline.
The Minister said that the
Government is committed to fulfilling all the promises made by him during
elections. Hanjura sought the support of the local population for strengthening
the efforts of the Government to resolve all the problems of people on
priority.
