Sep 12: A day after Chief Minister Manik Sarkar’s allegation of NITI Aayog
depriving Tripura of Rs 2000 crore every year, union minister of state for
AYUSH Sripada Nayak claimed from NITI Ayog the state got Rs 7000 crore more
compared to last three years. He stated that union government is giving special
attention for development of north east region and added, Prime Minister
Narendra Modi wants north east be given first priorities in development
activities and he directed every month two central ministers should visit the
region. Mr Nayak said there is no dearth of funds in Centre but initiative
should be taken for utilizing the funds by the state government. UNI
