Sept 12: The Balasore police have rescued a student playing the killer
Blue Whale game and admitted him in local hospital . A timely intervention of
the institute authorities as well as police has saved a juvenile who was
perusing ITI course in government run institute from a potential fatal end. The
17 year old student hailing from Jaleswar area was behaving erratically with
his colleagues. Observing his abnormal behaviour his classmates informed to the
principal who alerted the Sahadevkhunta police. The boy had confessed before
the police on playing the brainwash game . Inspector-in-charge of Sahadevkhunta
police station, Pragyan Mohanty said “ during inquiry the student confessed
that he was playing lethal game. Since his mental state was not stable. He was
counselled initially and later admitted in hospital . His parents were
informed.” The student was residing in a private mess and for quite some days
remaining upset . His classmates said that he was staying alone for last few
days and showing abnormal behaviour. However , yesterday during the last period
, workshop class, he was found playing the game. They soon brought the matter to
the notice of the instructor as well as Principal KC Rout. The boy said he said
that he downloaded the lethal game on instigation of a cousin of him residing
in Bengaluru and had crossed few levels after downloading the game . The
College authorities raided the hostels and seized as many as 37 mobile phones.
