KUPWARA, SEPTEMBER 12: The
District Development Commissioner Kupwara, who is also chairman of banks
working in district Kupwara, today conducted a meeting to review the
achievements under implementation of annual credit plan up to June 2017.
The meeting organised by Lead District Manager Kupwara was attended by
Chief Planning Officer, Lead District Officers, NABARD, Cluster head and
Director RSETI and various departmental heads, sponsoring agencies.
It was given out that under ACP 2017-18 the district stood at Rs.206.17
cr, which constitutes 27% against target of Rs.777cr. The achievements under
priority sector advanced were to tune of Rs. 124.10 Cr against target of
Rs.650.50 cr. The advance of the banks stands at Rs.1329 cr as on ending 1st quarter of
2017, which means an increase of Rs.123 cr which works out to 10%
against last financial year. The CD ratio of the district stood at 68 percent
with Rs.8.5 crs been disbursed by JK Bank to 571 beneficiaries till date
under KCC scheme. It was also given out that 1316 cases under various
government sponsored schemes 939 cases have been sanctioned to the tune of
Rs.19 cr and 836 cases have been disbursed to the tune of Rs.13 cr.
The director RSETI Kupwara also briefed the meeting about the progress
up to June 2017, saying that out of 198 candidates 165 candidates are of BPL
families who were provided training under various skill development programmes.
The DDC (Chairman) DLRC impressed upon the financial institution
implementing agencies to gear up their efforts for conducting awareness camps.
Asking for collective measures be taken to accommodate all educated unemployed
youth of the district, the DDC said that the youth need to be involved for
establishing their own income generating units so that the unemployment problem
could be resolved.
The DDC also thanked RBI, NABARD representatives for presenting their
valuable suggestions during the day long deliberations for smooth process of
the Annual Credit plan .
The MLA Kupwara Bashir Ahmad Dar, who was present in the meeting also
discussed several matters regarding the benefits of the schemes lunched by the
government for the welfare and development of the district population. He
suggested for streamlining the signal window system, back yard poultry,
establishing of small scale industries, due care of publicity regarding govt.
schemes and promotion of public interested schemes. The meeting discussed
different issues pertaining to sponsoring cases to the banks for their
redressal, and confirmed last DLRC agenda points unanimously.
