BARAMULLA, SEPTEMBER 11: In connection
with the Road Safety Week 2017, an awareness programme was organized at
Government Girls Higher Secondary School Baramulla.
Senior Superintendent of Police and Additional Deputy Commissioner Baramulla
were present on the occasion.
The programme was aimed at educating people about various road safety measures
and to create awareness about traffic rules and regulation among the masses.
Speaking on the occasion, ADC Baramulla emphasized upon the need for adopting necessary
road safety measures for averting avoidable road accidents and loss of precious
human life. He also appealed people particularly driver fraternity to avoid
rash and aggressive driving, and follow the traffic rules strictly.
Meanwhile SSP hailed the school authority for organizing such programmes and
stressed upon the concerned authorities for implementing the traffic rules and
regulations in letter and spirit so that the safety of life and property is
ensured.
Later, a road safety rally was held which was flagged off by the SSP with ADC
in which various students and other school authorities participated.
