Launches water pipe laying
 work in adjoining localities

JAMMU, AUGUST 04- Speaker legislative Assembly J&K Kavinder Gupta today conducted extensive tour of Narwal and adjoining areas and listened to people’s issues and demands in the area.
The Speaker also launched works for laying of drinking water pipes at Doongian Gujjar Mohalla and Narwal Bala Gujjar Mohalla to be completed at an estimated cost of Rs. 1.50 lakh under constituency Development Fund (CDF).
The work is being carried out by PHE department and would be completed within a week’s time.
Interacting with the locals, the Speaker said that the government is committed to provide all basic amenities to the people of the state. He said that with the installation of new drinking water pipes, the long pending demand of the people of the areas would be redressed.
 He informed the people that the prestigious water scheme at Panjpir and Batala, completed at a cost of Rs. 18 crore, would be dedicated to the people of the area soon. He said the scheme would   benefit about 250 families of the area.
While responding to the demands of locals, he said announced 20 electric poles for the area and assured the people that the work of the same would be started soon.
The Speaker was accompanied by senior functionaries of PHE and other concerned department.
