New Delhi, Aug 4 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi today met BJP Members of Parliament from Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Karnataka, Kerala, Manipur, Tamil Nadu and Telangana. "Interacted with MP colleagues from Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Karnataka, Kerala, Manipur, Tamil Nadu and Telangana," the Prime Minister said in a tweet. Among others the meeting was also attended by Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananth Kumar and other Ministers like Bandaru Dattatreya, Kiren Rijiju and Rajen Gohain. In the last few days the Prime Minister met BJP lawmakers from Goa and Maharashtra and also eastern Indian states including West Bengal, Bihar and Northeastern states as part of his regular exercise to interact with the party MPs. The BJP President Amit Shah has expressed displeasure at the poor attendance of BJP MPs in the proceedings of both Houses of Parliament. Poor attendance of ruling party MPs had embarrassed the Government when Opposition sponsored amendments to the Bill to confer Constitutional status to the OBC Commission was carried through. UNI
