Aug 26: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today announced immediate grant of Rs
500 crore for flood hit areas of Bihar after making an aerial survey of
inundated areas of Seemanchal region. Mr Modi, who landed at Chunapur in Purnea
district, made an aerial survey of flood affected districts of Purnea, Araria,
Katihar and Kishanganj districts. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and his deputy
Sushil Kumar Modi accompanied the PM during his aerial survey of the flood-hit
