New Delhi, Aug 3 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi today held an informal meeting with BJP MPs from the states of Goa and Maharashtra, where he asked them to garner public support for the various schemes launched by the government. The MPs apprised the Prime Minister about the various developmental works going on in the two states, at his official residence. Mr Modi told the MPs to garner people's participation in the schemes, while encouraging them to avail benefits of the schemes launched for them. Talking about the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana (PMKSY) and the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY), the Prime Minister said more and more farmers should join the schemes. Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways and Shipping Nitin Gadkari attended the meeting, presided over by Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Ananth Kumar. UNI
