New Delhi, Aug 5 : NDA candidate for Vice-President polls M Venkaiah Naidu today said he is henceforth above party politics and exuded confidence that he will get the votes of majority parties in the voting today. "I am no longer your party or my party....I am above party. Most political parties have supported my candidature," Mr Naidu told reporters after casting his vote in Parliament premises. Goa Chief Minister and Rajya Sabha MP from UP, Manohor Parrikar, who also cast his vote, said, "I think we will miss Venkaiah Naidu in one place (party and government) but you will see more in action in another place". UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who is also Lok Sabha member, also cast his vote today. Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said while the party would miss Mr Naidu, the high constitutional office of the country would get richer with his entry. "He was like an elder brother to many of us," Mr Prasad said. UNI
