Delhi, Aug 26: Attacking the BJP Government in Haryana for its failure to
check violence by Dera followers in the state, the Congress today said state
Chief Minister Manohar Lal has set new standard for 'maximum government,
minimum governance'. In a series of tweets, senior Congress leader and AICC
senior spokesperson P Chidambaram said, 'PM Modi's exhortation turned on its
head by CM Khattar. Haryana's mantra is 'maximum government, minimum
governance'. He said the violence in Sirsa and Panchkula were examples of BJP's
administrative competence. 'Gorakhpur hospital deaths, Muzaffarnagar train
accident, Sirsa-Panchkula riots are examples of BJP's administrative
competence,' Mr Chidambaram said. AICC spokesperson Kapil Sibal said that
lynching, love jihad, no oxygen for 71 children in Gorakhpur and arson and
violence in Panchkula were the BJP Government's definitions of a 'New India'.
'Our New India : lynching, love jihad, no oxygen for 71 children in Gorakhpur;
arson and violence in Panchkula as 28 die. Desh badal raha hai !,'Mr Sibal
said. Reacting to the violence in Haryana, AICC spokesperson Manish Tewari
demanded resignation of the Haryana Chief Minister. In hi tweet, Mr Tewari said
the Haryana CM must resign if he has an iota of morality left in him. UNI
