Shimla, Aug 4 :  Former Home Minister and Himachal Pradesh Congress incharge Sushil Kumar Shinde today defended infighting and prevailing indiscipline in the state unit and the Virbhadra Singh Government stating that his party happens to be more tolerant and non-violent political outfit compared to the ruthless BJP which has shown door to many senior leaders devoted their entire lives to the saffron party. Interacting with media persons at Rajiv Bhavan, the party head office in the state, Mr Shinde said Himachal Congress president Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh have decided to fight the upcoming Assembly elections unitedly to keep communal forces out of power and form the party government once again in the state. He said since party nation president Sonia Gandhi and vice-president Rahual Gandhi appointed him for the task to sort out the differences in the Congress state unit and government, he was here to bring together the party. Some workers who voiced slogans on his arrival has been issued showcause notice by the state unit for defying the discipline but he has urged the HPCC leader to not take any stringent action. Showing ignorance over demanding ouster of the Chief Minister by six MLAs, Mr Shinde said no such complaint or letter came to his knowledge after Congress Legislative Party Meeting last night. He, however, succeeded to die down the emerging differences. Mr Shinde said Mr Sukhu, the Chief Minister and party co-incharge Ranjeet Ranjan and he himself discussed differences and two appeared amicably to overcome all misunderstanding and resolved to work together in future. He added that the party would decide its leader after winning elections and no leader would be declared for the post of chief minister before the elections. The party is capable to sort out any difference in the state and party government. It has already concluded two legs of Padyatra in the state. The third leg would move further from August 16 onwards.
