Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today congratulated NDA candidate Ram Nath Kovind on being elected as the next President of India.


Lucknow, Jul 20 :  Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today congratulated NDA candidate Ram Nath Kovind on being elected as the next President of India. Terming the election as a moment of pride and honor, the Chief Minister said under the guidance of Mr Kovind, the honor of the country would be enhanced further. In the congratulatory message, the CM said that it was due to the positive thinking of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP Parliamentary Board that the Nation has got such a fine person as President, one who has an impeccable record in a long public life. Mr Kovind comes from a rural background and his deep roots there will enhance the standing of the rural people and Dalit community, the CM said. Mr Adityanath also pointed out that Mr Kovind has always worked for the welfare of the poor, Dalits and the marginalized sections of the society and his election would further develop the social awareness in the country. Meanwhile UP BJP General Secretary Vijay Bahadur Pathak also congratulated Mr Kovind for becoming the first President of the country from UP. "We thank PM Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah for giving an opportunity to a person from Dalit community of the state to assume the highest post if the country", he said. Mr Pathak said the election of Mr Kovind was a great honour for the state and also for the Dalit community and Other backward Class. UNI
