Chandigarh, Jul 21 : In a bid to make adequate arrangement of teaching staff for the students especially girls in the schools, unemployed graduates and JBT holders of Mewat area will be brought under the ambit of the Saksham Yuva Scheme (SYS), Chief Minister Manohar Lal said here today. Making this announcement while presiding over 29th meeting of the Mewat Development Board here, the Chief Minister said services of these unemployed youth would be utilised for imparting quality education to the students in Mewat. This decision would not only help in meeting the shortage of teachers in Mewat but also promote the facility of quality education there. The meeting approved an outlay of Rs 34.50-crore for the Mewat Development Agency for 2017-18. The Chief Minister also issued directions that a committee be constituted under the chairmanship of Principal Secretary Rajesh Khullar to find a permanent solution of the problem of fake heavy vehicle driving licences in Mewat region.
