Three arrested with narcotics in Jammu, Kathua

Jammu, Jul 18 : Three persons were today arrested with contraband of narcotics in Jammu and Kathua districts. ‘’Acting on specific information, a nakka was laid at Kunjwani Chowk today and two pedestrians were intercepted,’’ police here said. They said that on their search, 12-Kg Poppy Straw (Bhukki) was recovered from their possession. A case under NDPS Act has been registered and investigation started. In a separate incident, one Sonu Kumar, resident of Sakta Chak, District Kathua was nabbed at Sawan Chak near Gurdwara with 20 grams of heroin. ‘’The contraband was recovered from his possession and was arrested on the spot,’’ police said and added that a case has been registered.
