Lucknow court issues NBW against UP MLA in kidnapping case

Lucknow, Jul 19:  A local court here has issued a non-bailable warrant against Uttar Pradesh independent MLA Amanmani Tripathi in connection with a kidnapping case in Lucknow in 2014. Additional sessions judge A K Ravi issued a non-bailable warrant against the independent MLA from Nautanwan in connection with a kidnapping case here yesterday. The case is registered with Gautampalli police in Lucknow. The FIR was lodged by contractor Rishi Kumar Pandey on August 6, 2014 alleging that Amanmani and his friends had kidnapped him for ransom. Due to non presence of Tripathi, the court failed to frame charges against him and other accused submitted by the police. The court has asked the police to produce the MLA before the court during the next hearing slated on July 25. Amanmani, son of jailed politician Amar Mani Tripathi, is already accused in the murder of his wife Sara Singh in which CBI is probing the case. UNI
