Srinagar, Jul 21 :  All roads leading to United Nations Military Observers (UNMO) office for India and Pakistan in summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, Srinagar, were sealed to foil proposed separatist march this morning. Both the factions of the Hurriyat Conference (HC) and Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) has called for a general strike and 'UN office chalo' today to protest against the alleged Human Right (HR), particularly killing, torture and arrest of youths, in the Kashmir valley by security forces. Hundreds of security forces and state police personnel, holding automatic weapons and wearing bullet proof jackets were deployed on all roads leading to UNMO office at Sonawar in the heart of the city. Nakas had been established at Dalgate crossing on Sonawar road leading to UNMO office, headquarters of 15 Corps on Srinagar-Jammu national highway. Similarly, another naka was set up at Pantha Chowk and vehicles were being directed to take bypass route. However, due to strike very less number of vehicles were on the roads. Several other lanes and bylanes around the UNMO office had been sealed and closed with barbed wire. Large number of security forces were deployed at both gate of the shrine of Hazrat Syed Sahib, on the opposite side of the road near UNMO office. Both the factions of the HC and JKLF, spearheading the agitation, demanding right to self determination, had called for 'UNMO office chalo' to organise a Sit-In after Friday prayers. This was to registered a protest and deep resentment against killings of Kashmiris, allegedly by security forces, imposition of curfew and restrictions, beating arresting of people, mostly youths and putting separatist behind bar and confine them in their houses and disallowing them to offer prayers and attending funerals of friends and relatives. The separatists had also called for a complete shut down in the valley. UNI
