GANDERBAL, JULY 19: District Development Commissioner today
convened a meeting to review implementation of various schemes of Rural
Development Department (RDD) in the district.
Assistant Commissioner Development,
CPO, BDOs, Assistant Executive Engineers and other concerned officers attended
the meeting.
The meeting was informed that during
the financial year 2016-17 Rs 2133.14 lakh have been expended out of which Rs
1824.81 lakh have been carried over as work done liability and so far Rs
1600.00 lakh cleared under MGNREGA in the district.
With regard to IAY in the district,
the chair was apprised that during financial year 2016-17 Rs 83.97 lakh has
been utilized in the district with completion of 247 units, out of which, 168
units have been finalized.
However, with regard to current
financial year the chair was apprised that under the scheme PMAY the
registration of beneficiaries is underway and 301 beneficiaries have been
registered online out of 355 beneficiaries. The chair laid stress on Aadhaar
Seeding of Job Card holders along with Geo-tagging of Assets.
The DDC stressed on greater
transparency in implementation of developmental works and judicious use of
funds. He called for proper coordination among concerned departments for
effective and timely completion of developmental projects and their subsequent
benefits to intending sections.
