A fresh batch of 1782 Shri Amarnath pilgrims today left from Yatri Niwas base camp here amid 'bam bam bhole' chants for the holy cave shrine in South Kashmir.

Jammu, Jul 19 :  A fresh batch of 1782 Shri Amarnath pilgrims today left from Yatri Niwas base camp here amid 'bam bam bhole' chants for the holy cave shrine in South Kashmir. The pilgrims this early morning left in a cavalcade of 62 vehicles. The yatris were comprised of 1278 male, 404 females and 100 Sadhus. Pilgrims left for Pahalgam and Baltal to perform the pilgrimage in 62 vehicles including 35 buses and 27 light motor vehicles. ‘’The Yatra is smoothly heading on the highway," a police official here said.
