Bengaluru, July 19 : Karnataka Veterinary Animal and Fisheries University, Bidar, Veternary Collage, a constituent of GKVK, Bengaluru, has developed a mobile App to help Diary farming community, especially small and marginal farmers, to increase the production. The App in Kannada can be downloaded on smart phones, according to a release here today. The information provided in the App includes details about the heat symptoms and artificial insemination, selection of high yielding cows, housing and hygienic management, scientific feeding, important diseases and their prevention, clean milk production, economics of dairying along with the feed calculator and breeding wheel. The app has been developed in collaboration with Jayalakshmi Agrotech under ICAR project. It also has information on suitable breeds of cattle and buffaloes for dairying. UNI
