Srinagar, Jul 18 :  A 60-year-old man, who was injured in security force firing yesterday in south Kashmir district of Anantnag, succumbed this evening at S K Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Srinagar. 
Official sources told  that security forces yesterday resorted to aerial firing to disperse demonstrators, who were protesting against alleged use of disproportionate force at Bijbehara in Anantnag. 
One Abdul Ahad Ganie, 60, was injured in security force firing, they said, adding he was immediately taken to Bone and Joint hospital in Srinagar. 
Ganie was later referred to SKIMS in a critical health condition, they said. 
They said the injured succumbed in the hospital this evening. 
Meanwhile, as the news of the death of the elderly person reached south Kashmir, instantaneous protests injured at Bijbehara and adjoining areas. UNI
